Erste Erfahrungen mit n-Butyl-2-cyanoacrylat zum nahtlosen Katarakt-Wundverschluß

Zusammenfassung

Erste Mitteilung über Katarakt-Wundverschluß mit n-Butyl-2-cyanoacrylat (Histoacryl blau). Vor der Klebung der Sklerarinne muß diese möglichst trocken sein. Für den Klebevorgang sollte lediglich ein Minimum an Histoacryl verwendet werden. Bei 15 der 25 Patienten konnte 2 bis 3 Monate nach Operation eine Kontrolle durchgeführt werden. Der Wundbereich sowie der intraokulare Befund waren frei von Komplikationen.

Summary

Following is the first report on closure of cataract incisions with n-Butyl-2cyanoacrylate (Histoacryl blue). Our initial experience with this tissue glue for the closure of cataract incisions indicates that the scleral groove must be dry before being closed. Another important prerequisite appears to us to be that only a minimum of Histoacryl blue should be used in the procedure described here. Follow-up examinations of 15 of 25 patients were possible 2 to 3 months after surgery. All 15 eyes were free of wound or intraocular complications.
