Summary
The effect of 360 nm, 632 nm and 780 nm light on NIH fibroblast cells was examined. Mitosis counts of irradiated cells at various energy doses were taken. It is suggested that low level laser therapy (LLLT) in the visible and in the near infra-red region is due to cell respiration stimulation by either the endogeneous porphyrins in the cell, or by the cytochromes.
