Profundaplastik: Wichtigster Eingriff zur Beinerhaltung ohne jedes Risiko?

Zusammenfassung

Ende der 70er und Anfang der 80er Jahre war die Profundaplastik ein vergleichsweise häufig durchgeführter gefäßchirurgischer Eingriff. Seither ist diese Operation zugunsten ausgedehnterer Bypassverfahren eher in den Hintergrund getreten. Dies spiegelt sich auch in der Literatur deutlich wieder. So konnten in einer Literaturrecherche mittels Medline unter dem Suchbegriff „Profundaplastik” über den Zeitraum 1966–1998 in den Jahren 1966–1982 19, in den Jahren 1983–1989 15 und in den Jahren 1990–1998 nurmehr 10 Literaturstellen ermittelt werden. Zudem ist anzumerken, daß in den Arbeiten aus dem zuletzt genannten Zeitraum die Profundaplastik lediglich in Zusammenhang mit anderen Rekonstruktionsverfahren Erwähnung findet (1–12, 14, 15, 17–25).
