Zusammenfassung
Von ungewollter Kinderlosigkeit sind 10–15% der Ehepaare in der BRD betroffen. Die verschiedenen Sterilitätsursachen verteilen sich folgendermaßen: ungeklärte Sterilität (10,7%), andrologische Sterilität (20,1%), gynäkologische Sterilität (33,5%) und kombiniert gynäkologisch-andrologische Sterilität (16,6%). Von den angeblich sterilen Frauen konzepieren 13% innerhalb 2er Jahre spontan, und 6,1% der kinderlosen Paare brechen die Diagnostik vorzeitig ab (Winkhaus 1981).
