Abstract
EXAFS measurements were made at CHESS for an amorphous Fe78P22 alloy, for crystalline Fe, and for crystalline “Fe2P”, which was actually Fe1.7±0.2P and contained a small amount of FeP. χ(k) functions were calculated from μ(E) data measured at 8, 80, and 300 K. R-space windows, 1Å to 3Å, were used to extract the near-neighbor components k2χnn (k) by Fourier back-transformation (see Fig. 1).
