Abstract
In secs. 1 and 2 we gave a tentative definition of the concepts stable, attractive, etc., which were adequate for the applications considered so far. Subsequently we shall examine these concepts more closely and introduce a number of extensions and refinements. First, however, we must give a more exact definition of the concept of a motion defined in sec. 1. It will be made so general that the various applications obtain a unified foundation. In this manner it is possible to approach the very different parts of the theory in a uniform way.
