Abstract
The present paper will deal with the significance, possibilities and forms of development of international scientific co-operation in strengthening the relations and understanding between scientific workers and informing social values in the field of physical culture sciences as well as in sports practice. That scientific co-operation has such a role is evidenced by the participation of Czechoslovakian scientific workers in international co-operation on scientific tasks, in the activities of international societies, and in scientific congresses, conferences and symposia both abroad and in Czechoslovakia, as well as by publications, the education of scientific workers, the mutual exchange of scientific workers, study stays, lectures and other activities.
