Abstract
In its international activities the German Sports and Gymnastics Union (DTSB) of the German Democratic Republic bases its considerations on the fact that physical culture and sport can and must make an indispensable contribution to international understanding between nations, to a policy of détente and co-operation and thus to the preservation of peace throughout the world.
