Abstract

In the opening chapter I have discussed the problems of evaluating the disability resulting from bilharzial infection. In the ensuing chapters my distinguished colleagues have reviewed the life cycle, the diagnosis, the clinical, pathological, radiological, immunological and experimental aspects of bilharziasis. I would like now to summarize the clinicopathological aspects and to emphasize the need for research.
