Zusammenfassung

Während Blei im Organismus primitiver Völker fast völlig fehlt, kommt es bei den Angehörigen der Kulturvölker stets als Zivilisationselement in wechselnden Mengen in Blut und Organen vor. Seine biologische Bedeutung beschränkt sich hier auf die Erzeugung der bekannten Vergiftungsbilder, deren toxikologische Grundlagen, klinische Verläufe und gewerbehygienische Bedeutung in einer umfangreichen eigenen Literatur dargestellt sind.
