Abstract
The first intimations of a connection between noradrenaline and the substances assumed to be liberated by sympathetic nerve activity date from the classical workof Barger and Dale, in 1910. On the basis of systematic examinations of the effects of various sympathomimetic amines, the said authors stated: —
