Zusammenfassung
Schlechte Resultate nach offener Einrichtung und innerer Frakturfixation sieht man am häufigsten bei Tibiaschaftbrüchen. Dafür gibt es verschiedene Gründe: Die Tibia ist der lange Röhrenknochen, der am häufigsten bricht; sehr oft handelt es sich um eine offene Fraktur; sie ist leicht freizulegen und führt darum unerfahrene Operateure oft in Versuchung. Sie liegt unmittelbar unter der Haut und neigt nach der Osteosynthese zur defekten Wundheilung.
