Abstract

Since the work of B.G. Goodwin (1965) who pointed out the biological relevance of negative feedback loops, the dynamics of the corresponding differential equations has been extensively analysed (2). Most of these studies deal with regulatory chains in which the last element, Ym, exerts a negative control on the production of the first one, Y1 (Figure 1).
