Part of the book series: Lecture Notes in Economics and Mathematical Systems ((LNE,volume 335))

Abstract

This case study shows the rationale behind and the benefits of using a hybrid model of strategy formulation, based on both the GE 9-box approach (see, for example, Hofer and Schendel, 1978) and the Analytic Hierarchy Process (Saaty, 1980). It shows how the two approaches can be combined into a useful strategic planning model.
