Abstract
The administration of Corynebacterium parvum to experimental animals produces strong and complex modifications of both specific and nonspecific mechanisms of defence against invading bacteria or tumor cells [4, 17]. These modifications are essentially:
-
1.
Stimulation of production of humoral antibody [15].
-
2.
Induction of cell-mediated immunity [15].
-
3.
Stimulation of the phagocytic function of reticuloendothelial phagocytes [9, 16, 17].
