Abstract

This paper is an overview of methods for solving management problems involving more than one objective. A framework for classifying multiple criteria methods is developed, according to whether the problem has the constraints stated explicitly or not and whether the problem is stochastic or deterministic. The nature of the utility function assumed is also discussed, as is practical experience with the methods.
