Abstract
Let El be a given belt, and let Aεℳmn and b εEn be given. In Chapter 14, we looked upon the equation A ⊗ x = b as the matrix embodiment of a set of simultaneous equations. There are, however, other ways of interpreting A ⊗ x = b. If Aεℳmn, then A has n columns, a(j), j=1,..., n each of which is m-tuple, i.e. a(j)ε Em.
