Abstract

This chapter deals with the properties of the molecular capacitor. First we shall construct a theory of such a capacitor (§ 19) and then try to describe on its basis the most typical features of the zero-charge point (§ 20) and the integral capacity curves (§ 21). At the same time, we shall take every opportunity to compare theory and experiment (as we have already noted, the results of such a comparative analysis are not in favour of the theory).
