Zusammenfassung
Ähnlich wie die Hypophyse besteht die Nebenniere aus einem drüsigen und neurotropen Anteil. Bei den Selaehiern findet sich ersterer als Interrenalkörper getrennt von letzterem. Bei allen höheren Wirbeltieren besteht eine Vereinigung mit dem dem Sympathicus entstammenden Adrenalgewebe. Beide Abschnitte bezeichnen wir auch heute noch, entsprechend den ersten anatomischen Angaben, als Mark- und Bindenteil.
