Abstract
Design of mathematical models of physical objects involves a great number of conditions, aspects, and problems. Actual cases differ in purpose, access to the object for experiments, means for computing, and apriori information. Some are not very well defined in practice. The topic is therefore too diversified to be solved by means of a ‘recipe’ for what is correct model design under given circumstances. An engineer designing models must use ‘art’ as well as ‘science’.
