Abstract

There is an emerging school of thought that presumes the existence within a corporate structure of a cognitive microeconomy (P. Bourgine, 1992). Its dynamics obeys predictable rules (A. Newell, 1990) that can be quantified. Our purpose here is to verify the existence of such a behaviour by checking the validity of a model for the rate of growth of productive capacity per individual of a corporation and to consider the consequences of such a relation.
