Zusammenfassung
Die experimentelle Nierenforschung hat in der letzten Dekade ungewöhnlich zahlreiche und neue Erkenntnisse über die Grundmechanismen der Harnbereitung geliefert. Es versteht sich von selbst, daß eine Darstellung von pathophysiologischen Zuständen — wie das akute Nierenversagen — nur dann über einen descriptiven Wert hinausgeht, wenn diese Erkenntnisse über die normale Funktion der Niere bei der Klärung des pathophysiologischen Zustandes berücksichtigt werden. Eine solche Analyse geht folglich davon aus, daß der reversible pathophysiologische Zustand eine extreme Variante der Funktionsbreite darstellt und im Rahmen von normalerweise vorhandenen Regulationsprinzipien beschreibbar ist.
