Abstract
The present article offers a theoretical discussion of the subject of „innovation“. Based on a theory of evolutionary organization a system of conceptual language is introduced which allows the complex field of „Innovation and (new) Knowledge“and the interaction of innovation and organizational skills to be discussed in a productive manner whose results can also be applied to business enterprises. The processes underlying the origin, communication and use of knowledge are seen from a unique perspective based on the construct of a co-evolutionary origin of knowledge. Viewed from this perspective, existing knowledge is not duplicated and communicated, it is continually recreated and redesigned to generate new knowledge. Elements of implicit knowledge play a decisive role in this process. It is demonstrated that the ability of organizations to innovate is related to their ability to respond to and assimilate new contexts, some of which may themselves still be embryonic. This interpretation is closely related to the subject of,, aesthetics“.
