Abstract
The authors have reviewed the literature covering the methods used in the isolation, purification, and assay of the ten enzymes of the pentose phosphate cycle of metabolism in higher plants, as well as the preparation of substrates. Where detailed investigations of higher plants are lacking, information from studies on microorganisms and animal tissues has been included since the procedures are generally applicable.
