Zusammenfassung

Chrom(VI) wird in saurer Lösung durch Kaliumhexacyanoferrat (II) quantitativ zu Chrom(III) reduziert:

$$3{[{\rm{Fe}}{({\rm{CN}})_6}]^{4-}} + {\rm{Cr}}{{\rm{O}}_4}^{2-} + 8{{\rm{H}}^ + } = 3{[{\rm{Fe}}{({\rm{CN}})_6}]^{3-}} + {\rm{C}}{{\rm{r}}^{3 + }} + 4{{\rm{H}}_2}{\rm{O}}.$$
