Erfassung von Alkoholkonsum und Diagnose von Mißbrauch und Abhängigkeit in der Allgemeinbevölkerung

Zusammenfassung

Den in den letzten Jahren verstärkt laut werdenden Forderungen nach wissenschaftlicher Fundierung und empirischer Absicherung gesundheitspolitischer Entscheidungen im Bereich des Gebrauchs psychoaktiver Substanzen und deren Folgen wird mehr und mehr Rechnung getragen. Dies zeigt sich an nationalen und regionalen Studien, die sowohl Konsummuster als auch substanzbezogene Störungen untersuchen (26, 33, 40, 45), sowie an einer intensiven und flächendeckenden Sammlung stationärer und ambulanter Therapiedaten (56, 57). Hauptziel epidemiologischer Studien in der Bevölkerung sind die Bestimmung von Umfang und Verbreitung substanzbezogener Störungen und die Beschreibung bestimmter Konsummuster. Die Verbesserung des Kenntnisstands in bezug auf den Umfang von Alkoholkonsum, -mißbrauch und -abhängigkeit in der Allgemeinbevölkerung ist dabei methodischen Entwicklungen der für die Erfassung und Diagnostik erforderlichen Instrumente zu verdanken.
