Zusammenfassung

Die klassische kurative Behandlung des Rectumcarcinoms besteht in der chirurgischen Resektion. Ob kontinenzerhaltend operiert werden kann, hängt einerseits von der Tumorhöhe ab ano und der Penetrationstiefe des Tumors andererseits ab. Kann die Tumorhöhe einfach mittels Rectoskopie bestimmt werden, bereitete die Bestimmung der Penetrationstiefe bis anhin etwelche Mühe.
