Zusammenfassung

Die sonomorphologische Beschreibung eines kalkdichten Herdes steht für das Erscheinungsbild eines hochamplitudigen Reflexes mit nachfolgender Schallauslöschung, was durch Grenzflächen mit hohem Impedanzsprung ausgelöst wird. Ein derartiges Bild ist nicht pathognomonisch für Kalk, vielmehr kann jede kristalline Substanz, aber auch Metall oder Luft, das oben beschriebene Phänomen erzeugen.
