Zusammenfassung

Das paramagnetische Kontrastmittel Gadolinium(Gd)-DTPA findet heute in der Magnetresonanztomographie (MRT) des ZNS breite Anwendung (Elster et al. 1989). Ein wichtiges Indikationsgebiet ist die Diagnostik intrakranieller Tumoren. Durch Kontrastierung des Tumorgewebes erbringt Gd-DTPA den Nachweis einer Störung der Blut-Hirn-Schranke und verbessert die Abgrenzbarkeit kontrastmittelanreichernder Tumoren (Felix et al. 1985; Hesselink et al. 1988; Schörner et al. 1984; Stack et al. 1988).
