Zusammenfassung

Bei der Behandlung des Hypernephroms sind Urologen und Nephrologen immer wieder mit der konfliktträchtigen Situation konfrontiert, entscheiden zu müssen, ob bei Patienten mit bilateralen Nierenzellkarzinomen, bzw. bei Auftreten von Nierenzellkarzinomen in anatomischen oder funktionellen Einzelnieren die Resektion des tumortragenden Organs unter Inkaufnahme einer anschließenden Dauer-Dialysebehandlung zu einer nützlichen Verlängerung der Lebenserwartung des Patienten und zu einer sinnvollen Verbesserung der Lebensqualität führen kann.
