Zusammenfassung
Ehe wir die heutige Theorie des kontinuierlichen Absorptions- und Streukoeffizienten in extenso entwickeln, erscheint es angebracht, in einem kurzen genetischen Überblick ihre Zusammenhänge mit den vor 15 Jahren noch allgemein angenommenen älteren Vorstellungen und damit gleichzeitig die Bedeutung verschiedener atomistischer Mechanismen für das Zustandekommen der kontinuierlichen Sternspektren darzulegen.
