Zusammenfassung

Störungen des Lipid- und Lipoproteinstoffwechsels bei chronisch niereninsuffizienten Patienten werden seit Jahren beschrieben. Ihre klinische Bedeutung, besonders im Hinblick auf ein erhöhtes Atheroskleroserisiko bleibt bis heute umstritten. Während Lindner et al. [2] auf hohe kardiovaskuläre Risiken bei Dialysepatienten hinweisen, wird dieser Zusammenhang in neueren Untersuchungen wie von Nicholls [3] in Frage gestellt. Schon 1980 haben wir darauf hingewiesen, daß bei CAPD-Patienten möglicherweise eine Tendenz zu erhöhten Cholesterinwerten besteht [1]. Nachdem diese Beobachtung von verschiedenen Seiten bestätigt wurde, sahen wir uns veranlaßt, Lipoproteinmessungen vergleichend bei Patienten durchzuführen, die mit Hämodialyse (HD), Hämofiltration (HF), intermittierender Peritonealdialyse (IPD) und CAPD behandelt wurden. Eine solche Gegenüberstellung erschien uns um so reizvoller, als die beiden PD-Verfahren vom Prinzip her mit einer Glukosebelastung verbunden sind, während HD und HF zu einer negativen Glukosebilanz führen.
