Zusammenfassung

Die spontane oder natürliche zelluläre Zytotoxizität vermittelt durch natürliche Killer (NK)-Zellen wurde in den letzten Jahren zunehmend als eigenständige zytotoxe Reaktionsform erkannt. Sie läßt sich nach Art der Effektorzellen und des Effektormechanismus von der spezifischen zytotoxen T-Zellreaktion (CTC) und der antikörperabhängigen zellvermittelten Zytotoxizität (ADCC) abgrenzen [1]. NK-Zellen lysieren in vitro spontan Tumorzellen, virusinfizierte Zellen sowie auch Subpopulationen von normalen Thymus- und Knochenmarkszellen. Vor allem Ergebnisse aus dem Maussystem deuten darüber hinaus darauf hin, daß der durch NK-Zellen vermittelten Zytotoxizität auch in vivo eine wesentliche Bedeutung bei der Eliminierung maligner und virusinfizierter Zellen zukommt [2].
