Zusammenfassung

Verzweigtkettige Ketosäuren (BCKA’s) werden zunehmend zur diätetischen Behandlung der Urämie eingesetzt (Walser 1978). Die Beurteilung dieser neuen Therapieform ist erschwert, weil bisher bei Urämikern nur wenig Informationen verfügbar sind sowohl über BCKA-Blutspiegel als auch über den BCKA-Stoffwechsel.
