Zusammenfassung

Fortschritte in der Kenntnis der Pathogenese, in Diagnostik und Therapie von entzündlichen Nierenerkrankungen im Verlauf der letzten 20 Jahre wurden vor allem auf dem Gebiet der Glomerulonephritis auf der Grundlage exakter morphologischer Befunde erzielt. Die Kliniker haben maßgeblich zu diesem Fortschritt durch die Entwicklung einer risikoarmen Technik der Nierenpunktion beigetragen, die dem Pathologen ausreichendes Material für eine nunmehr weitgehend einheitliche Systematik der Glomerulonephritis auf pathologisch anatomischer Basis geliefert hat [6, 34, 39].
