Zusammenfassung
Die Geschichte der Glomerulonephritis ist charakterisiert durch fortwährende Versuche, das Krankheitsbild abzugrenzen, zu definieren, zu klassifizieren, eine Einteilung zu finden, die den verschiedenen klinischen Erscheinungsformen ebenso gerecht wird wie der morphologischen Vielfalt. Der Versuch eine solche Übereinstimmung zu erreichen ist bislang gescheitert, und wir müssen uns auch heute damit zufriedengeben, verschiedene Ebenen der Beschreibung zu akzeptieren, die nur partiell zur Deckung zu bringen sind: die pathogenetische, die morphologische und die klinische. In der Regel fehlen uns Kenntnisse über die ätiologie oder das Antigen im Einzelfall.
