Zusammenfassung
Die Bulbusumschnürung hat sich vorwiegend bei prognostisch ungünstigen Fällen, wie multiplen Löchern und äquatorialen Degenerationen, breiten und straffen Glaskörpertraktionen, Netzhautablösungen ohne Loch (besonders Aphakie-Amotionen), Riesenrissen, Lateroversion und Reoperationen durchgesetzt. Dieser Eingriff hat aber schon sehr früh eine Reihe von Komplikationen erkennen lassen, wie das String-Syndrom, Sekundärglaukom und Nekrosen der Sklera unter dem eindellenden Material.
