Summary
17 cases of osteoclastomas of the sphenoid bone have been reported. With reference to a personal observation the authors report on neuro-ophthalmological symptoms in sphenoidal lesions. Roentgenographic lesions did not appear in the primary stage when total ophthalmoplegia was observed. In a later stage roentgenograms indicated a destructive lesion, but at this stage the tumor could not be removed totally.
