Abstract
Guido Menegazzi tries to give a solution to the problem of the ethics-economics relation. His effort lies within the current of thought against the prevailing opinions on the possible separation of economics from ethics. As for Italy, such current has its main representatives in Toniolo, Vito and Menegazzi, and tries to bring the rich cultural heritage up-to-date, that is characterized by the close bond between economics and ethics; the same as the tradition of Catholic thinking the Church has been consistently suggesting starting from the Rerum Novarum untill the last social encyclicals, in the last century.
