Abstract
The paper presents the use of the modified Non Delay algorithm as a basis of a supervision system for production control in flexible manufacturing system. Some basic characteristics of scheduling of flexible manufacturing systems are presented. A rescheduling procedure for fault reduction is also taken into account. Each production activity is marked by two events; the start and the end. Both events are of decisive importance for the process of system control. At start of an activity a command is generated. A message is a information on the termination of activity. All events which could occur by supervision of flexible manufacturing systems are described. These events are used for analysis of possible decisions.
