Abstract
At the Free University of Berlin about 400 students per term are finishing their undergraduate studies in economics and are swapped to graduate phase. There background knowledge is rather erratic, unsound and incomplete and contradictive for making a rational decision about the fields of interest for studying economics. The final examination includes 5 slots like general theory, business administration, statistics, econometrics, operations research etc.
