Abstract

The lymphokines are immunomediators playing an important role in the formation of the immune response in an organism to virus invasion and malignant transformation. By means of chemical-enzymatic synthesis and molecular cloning we have studied the genes encoding the human α 2 interferon, tumor necrosis factor, and lymphotoxin. Approaches to heterologous expression of the genes have been investigated.
