Abstract
Recently, research on how to simulate human cognitive functions with computers has been progressing. This field of research is called Artificial Intelligence (AI). AI can be roughly divided into speech and image processing, language processing such as machine translation, and expert systems. Of these, expert systems are currently closest to practical application.
