Abstract
It is assumed that the reader is acquainted with the elementary notions of set theory, linear algebra, linear inequalities, matrix theory, and topology. Here we state our basic notation and discuss cells, that is, closed polyhedral convex sets, their faces, unimodularity, and an existence theorem from linear complementary theory.
