Abstract

In addition to the oscillating regimes in chemical reactions out of equilibrium such as the Belousov-Zhabotinsky reaction, experiments have revealed more complex periodic and nonperiodic dynamical behavior and in particular an alternating periodic-chaotic sequence [1]. The origin of such behavior constitutes the object of this communication.
