Abstract

Aim of this paper is to review relevant results obtained in the field of impulsive (e,2e) spectroscopy over the last few years. (e,2e) experiments, i.e. electron-electron coincidences from impact ionization of atoms and molecules, have recently attracted much attention because of the wealth of information they are providing on both the collisional ionization mechanism and the electronic structure of the target.

Work partially supported by an Italy-France scientific cooperative programme.
