Abstract
An open-shell configuration interaction (CI) calculation was carried out for the \( {}^2\sum\nolimits_u^{+} {} \) and the \( {}^2\sum\nolimits_g^{+} {} \) states of the H −2 system, and a number of adiabatic potential energy curves was obtained for internuclear separations between 1.05 and 4.00 au. The goal of this work was to search for possible H −2 resonances within about a 10 eV energy region above the ground target state.
