Abstract

Economic activity may be aggregated (or disaggregated) into a number of productive sectors. Examples of such sectors are: agriculture, forestry and fishing; clothing and footwear; medical services; i.e. sectors 1, 8 and 30, respectively in the classification adopted by the Dutch Central Bureau of Statistics (C.B.S.) (cf. appendix A to this chapter).
