Zusammenfassung
Das als Lyell-Syndrom bezeichnete Krankheitsbild ist durch eine großflächige Ablösung der Epidermis gekennzeichnet (Abb. 1). Lyell selbst [7] hat hierfür 1976 den Begriff „Toxische epidermale Nekrolyse” vorgeschlagen. Es werden ätiologisch eine staphylogene und eine durch Medikamente ausgelöste Form unterschieden. Ursache des staphylogenen Lyell-Syndroms ist ein epidermolytisches Toxin, das von Koagulase-positiven Staphylokokken gebildet wird.
