On some Problems of Intensive Therapy in Patients with Acute Renal Failure

  • Chapter
Intensivbehandlung und ihre Grenzen

Zusammenfassung

It is probable that in the whole of pathology there is no other syndrome which affects to such an extent all the functions and metabolisms of the organism, as acute renal failure. Therefore, care of the patients with this syndrome implies complex knowledge and the participation of a great number of specialists, among which the anaesthesiologist-reanimator. This explains the interest shown by several anaesthetists for the questions of resuscitation raised by acute renal failure (Nicolas, F., 1963; Palleni, R., Tarenzi, L., 1966; Pabe, G.M., 1966; Spencer, T.G., 1968).
